  • Who runs the courses?

    Paulina from Gemeines Holz designed the carving and turning courses and has been running them since 2018. She is a qualified biologist and therefore knows a lot about plants.

  • Where do the courses take place?

    in the open workshop “Hobbyhimmel” (Siemensstraße 140b, 70469 Stuttgart-Feuerbach)



  • Who can take part?

     All courses are suitable for beginners and advanced wood carvers / turners aged 18 and over. 


    I accept younger students if they are accompanied by an adult and have some experience with wood. In that case, ask me before you book the course.

  • How much is the course fee?

    All prices are stated in the shop for the respective courses.

  • Do you also have vouchers?

     I issue personalized vouchers. You can order these from me as a PDF, printed out or engraved in wood.

Longitudinal wood turning for beginners

In this course you will learn the basics of wood turning. No matter whether you have a special project in mind, want to discover woodturning as a new hobby for yourself or have been flirting with it for a long time and are looking to get started.

You want to be impressed by the diversity of our local wood. You can make small pieces of jewelry from the smallest pieces of wood.


 In this course you can make small pendants, rings or earrings.

A handmade knife - that's what you've always wanted to do. In this course you will leand how to carve a wooden handle and and how to sharpen carving or cooking knifes.

Have you always wanted to work wood? One topic is not enough and you want to learn different wood carving and turning techniques. 


In this course you can create spoons, bowls, vases, knives, magic wands or jewelry. You are also welcome to implement your own ideas.
